When people think of Moab, they typically picture hot deserts and stark, red canyons. A quaint cottage like Sunflower Hill Inn probably isn’t even on their radar. This darling little inn puts you in the midst of a meadow surrounded by vibrant native flowers and lush green trees. While the iconic red rocks are a short drive away, you are going to get some of the most charming cottage backdrops if you choose this spot for your wedding day! As a Moab wedding photographer, I love working with my clients to find the perfect venues for their day! Here’s what you can expect from a Sunflower Hill Inn wedding

About The Sunflower Hill Inn Wedding Venue

185 N 300 E, Moab, Utah 84532

Sunflower Hill Inn started out as a family-run space when it first opened up in 1989. For years, Richard and Marjorie Stucki ran the spot alongside their 8 children. Then, in 2020, they decided it was time for a change. They sold the inn to Emily Niehaus, who promised to give the house the same love and care the couple had originally shown it. Today, this scenic spot is here to offer a unique backdrop for every second of your Moab adventure!

Details of the Grounds

When you plan your wedding at Sunflower Hill Inn, your day will start out in one of their six suites, where you will have plenty of space to get ready alongside your wedding party. You can spend all morning long relaxing with a bottle of champagne as you prepare for the ceremony.

Once it’s time to tie the knot, you can head outside to the yard. This verdant and secluded space features mature trees and seasonal gardens that will serve as the perfect backdrop!

After your I do’s, your guests can head to the cottage’s patio, where they can relax on the lawn furniture and sample specialty drinks. Once you are done taking pictures around the property, your evening can conclude on the lawn, where you can celebrate late into the night beneath the Moab stars. Sunflower Hill Inn can hold up to 30 guests, making it the ideal spot for a micro wedding!
