Dead Horse Point is a breathtaking spot that delivers all the views of the National Parks with the freedom of a State Park. With stomach-flipping cliffs, scenic rivers, and some of the best sunsets in the entire world, this destination has everything you could possibly need for your perfect wedding day. As a Moab wedding photographer, I love working with my clients to help them find the outdoor spaces of their dreams. If you have been on the search for Dead Horse Point wedding locations, here are the ones to check out!

You Must See These Gorgeous Dead Horse Point Wedding Locations

La Sal

If you aren’t afraid of navigating uneven surfaces around Dead Horse Point, a La Sal wedding might just be for you. This area can host up to 25 guests and gives you fantastic views of the surrounding cliffs as well as the La Sal mountains in the backdrop. It is especially divine in the morning as the sun starts to rise! Because it can be a little inaccessible, this one doesn’t get nearly as many tourists, making it ideal for private ceremonies.

Cliffside

As its name might have already suggested, Cliffside is going to put you right on the edge of those iconic red rocks. This is another location that can be a little harder to navigate, making it ideal for secluded Dead Horse Point weddings. You can fit up to 20 guests at this location and will have access to two shelters should you need them.

West Bench

If you are looking for something a bit more accessible, West Bench might just be your best choice! The views here are truly spectacular, giving you the cliffs as the background for your ceremony. This is a great option for those wanting a larger wedding, offering enough space for up to 50 guests. Just be warned, this is also a tourist favorite, giving you a higher chance of having a few onlookers.

Point Bench

For those wanting an intimate Dead Horse Point elopement, Point Bench is one of the best wedding locations! This location gives you a small bench where you can sit with your partner, watch the sunset, and write the next chapter of your love story. This area can be a little trickier to navigate, and the uneven ground will only accommodate up to 5 people (including your vendors).

Shade Shelter

If you really want to party alongside your friends and family, Shade Shelter is going to be your spot. This area has the greatest capacity in the park, giving you enough room for up to 100 guests. From secluded elopements to traditional outdoor parties, it can truly handle it all! The views here are also exceptional, showing off the surrounding cliffs.
