So, you just got engaged and need the perfect way to celebrate. First off, congratulations! This is such an exciting moment, and it’s important to take the time to acknowledge it. It’s easy to get caught up in all the stress of planning, but you need a way to take a moment and toast to your love for each other. This is why engagement pictures are so crucial. Not only are you going to have gorgeous pics for your wedding announcements, but you’ll also get to settle down and just enjoy being together! As a Moab elopement photographer, I adore getting to work with couples to help them celebrate. Here are the best places to take your Moab engagement photos!

Find Your Dream Location For Your Moab Engagement Photos

Arches National Park

Moab, Utah  84532

Arches National Park is one of my favorite Moab spots for engagement photos. The classic red rocks are going to give you a beautiful backdrop for all your pictures. The best thing is that you don’t have to journey too far for unforgettable views! Reservations are required for timed entrance, so be sure to plan ahead with your photographer!

Canyonlands National Park

2282 SW Resource Blvd., Moab, Utah 84532

Canyonlands National Park is another Moab spot full of breathtaking engagement photo backdrops from pretty much every angle. As you make your way to the top of the canyon, you can look down upon the miles and miles of rock. It’s the perfect place to get some pics with nothing but each other in the midst of open wilderness!

Manti-La Sal National Forest

599  West Price River Drive, Price, Utah 84501

If you want a place with a little more greenery, Manti-La Sal National Forest might just be your Moab destination for engagement photos. This forest stretches for nearly 1.5 million acres, ending across the Colorado state lines. From picturesque lakes to snow-capped mountains, this lush park has it all!

Dead Horse Point State Park

Sr 313, Moab, Utah 84532

Dead Horse Point State Park lets you journey up over 2,000 feet above the Colorado River. The sunrise and the sunset are particularly magical with the radiant warm colors of the canyons put on full display! Whether you want to forge your own path or go down one already paved, this park has the ideal spot.

Kane Creek Road

Safari Rte, Moab, Utah 84532

Kane Creek Road is going to bring you to numerous trails where you can find some of the best views in the area. This area has shallow creeks, lush plants, and acre after acre of canyons. Because much of this area is accessible by cars (or ATVs), you really don’t have to worry about sweating off your makeup before you even arrive.

Corona Arch Trail

82 East Dogwood, Moab, Utah 84532

Corona Arch Trail is a 3-mile round-trip hike that takes you up to the namesake arch.  Over the course of the trail, you will face around 460 feet of elevation gain. The resulting views are well worth it, with rich colors and towering natural sculptures.
