About Over The Moon Childbirth
Over the Moon Childbirth is a doula service that was started by Luna Kennedy in 2013. Even before she became a doula, Lunas studied holistic health and wellness. She decided after the birth of her daughter that she wanted to become a professional birth worker. Throughout her work, she empowers women so they can have their ideal experience.
Services
When you book Over The Moon Childbirth as your doula, you will purchase a package that will have everything you need. Your services will start out with two prenatal consultations. These visits will last 1-2 hours. During these appointments, Luna will provide you with healthy pregnancy recommendations and assist you as you create a birth plan. She can provide you with emotional and energetic clearings. She will also meet your partner and coordinate your support from family and friends.
At the end of each visit, she will reserve plenty of time for questions and answers. Luna will go on call for 2 weeks before your due date. Then, she will be by your side, offering emotional and physical support. She is going to be your fiercest advocate and will ensure you can make the right decisions for your delivery. She can additionally update your family and friends on your delivery. Following delivery, you will have 2 postpartum visits that will last for 2 hours each. She will help with meal prep, give you tips for life with a newborn, help with breastfeeding and baby-wearing, and put you in contact with community resources.
Specialty
In addition to her work as a doula, Over The Moon Childbirth offers childbirth education courses. You will be able to sign up for classes that will meet for 6 weeks. During your sessions, you are going to learn how to have a healthy pregnancy, how to plan for labor and delivery, what you can expect throughout your birth, and what those first few months with a newborn will look like. When you purchase this class, you will also receive a credit toward doula services.
